I've been coming to Ron ever since I moved to the Valley five years ago. The one time I tried another shop closer to my house, I refused their work and prices and brought it back to Richard's Auto Clinic instead. They truly care about my needs, from wanting to know how something works (or doesn't!) and how to save me money while getting the job done right. I wouldn't ever take my car anywhere else again. These guys are really the BEST!

I've taken all my vehicles over the last 20 years to Richard's. Even though I've moved about 10 miles further away from their shop, I still take my cars there because Ron and Mike always do a great job and they've saved me (no exaggeration) thousands of dollars over the years. I recommend them to everyone looking!

Ron and Mike at Richards Auto Clinic are great. We use them for our commercial trucks as well as our personnel vehicles. I know that when I drop off a vehicle they will be fair and honest. I highly recommend Richards Auto Clinic over any other shop in the valley!

I went to Richard's because I thought I might need new brakes, but wasn't sure. Upon first calling, Ron was very professional and helpful, and offered to accommodate me the next day. In person, both he and Mike were professional and honest about what was wrong with my vehicle. Though I didn't go beyond the initial inspection, I didn't feel pressure to do so by either of them. They even transported me back to my house after I dropped my car off for the day because I didnt have a ride, which I thought was very nice and accommodating. I would recommend them and would use them for any future repair work.

The guys here are great. Very honest and friendly. Mike tried to find the best price he could on parts for me. They let me know about another potential fix to do in the future and got me an estimate on that as well. I love any garage with some old classics sitting in the bays and a friendly dog out front. I am sooooooooo angry for not using Richard's Auto Clinic sooner. I have driven past this location for years, and for years I have been subjected to the whims of the dealership, trusting they would have "my safety" in mind when discussing repairs on my vehicle, instead of lining their pockets. Wrong. My friend Terry at the Uhaul across the street had been telling me for sometime to go over and see Ron and Mike, and I was just a knucklehead not to heed his words sooner. My first encounter was a few weeks prior (sorry no review) when the Parts store counter help told me my alternator needed replacement, when in actuality it was my battery, that I had purchased last year, and they tested. Got the straight story from Ron, got a new battery. Opportunity of trust. Ron and I then discussed all the issues with my vehicle and what I needed to budget for. I rescheduled, and also had one added issue, which was a right side rear turn signal lamp, that the dealership practially wanted me to just purchase a new car for, making it seem like it wasn't worth fixing. Ron had ask me why I didn't mention it before and I felt embarrassed because everyone kept telling me ONLY the dealer can handle dealer parts, NOPE, Ron and Mike (the Genius) came thru and added that repair as a kind gift to me that day, I have been swept off my feet by these guys. Even when a friend gave me a coupon to her business networking group mechanic, I told her (With confidence), No, I have my own mechanic shop and they are AWESOME. I can't shout praises more loudly about these guys...and Rosco (smile). I am glad I don't have to be afraid of whose fixing my car...because they make me feel as if my safety on the road is important to them as well. I have a grinding noise when I apply the brakes semi hard. I took my car to Richard's and was told by Mike that there was nothing wrong with the brakes - I have semimetallic brake pads with 40% left. These pads can cause a grinding noise. I was totally impressed because Mike could have replaced the pads and turned my rotor and I would not have known it didn't need to be done. Richard's is the place to bring your car and get honest work done on it!!!

Very professional, friendly, honest and fast service. The air conditioning in my van was not working. This could have been a very expensive repair. Don at Richards Auto Clinic fixed my air conditioning in less than 30 minutes at the low diagnostic rate he quoted me on the phone. Don is honest and trustworthy.

This is a vehicle my wife and I bought new and while it is not a daily driver we do enjoy driving it. Ron and Mike have been the only mechanics to work on this vehicle for the last 15 plus years and keep it in great condition for us. They always have the knowledge to fix it and the integrity to let us know what is really needed. I always recommend them and will take my vehicles no other place.

What can I say?! To be able to call a car repair shop and give only my first name and to have them KNOW me and my car....that's invaluable! My husband and I have been taking our cars to Richard's Auto for many years and are never disappointed. From high caliber service, to extensive knowledge and old-fashioned integrity and fair plan, Ron and Mike exemplify it all. I never worry that they will overcharge me, and I am always confident that they won't take advantage of my lack of knowledge, especially being a woman. If there IS something they can't do, (and that isn't much!) they send me to the right place to have it taken care of. Simply put, they are the best! I recently had quite a bit of work done on my Camry (maintence etc.,) and my car drives GREAT. I had to go to Prescott Valley and the ride was smooth and strong as I went up and down the mountains. There has been no pressure with evaluations and the cost has been conservative. They were willing to set up a schedule for regular repairs and my car is running fine. The owners have a sense of humor and are pleasant and competent. Don't forget the dog that is friendly, also.

I needed a second opinion, and so my coworker suggested Richards. It's very close to work, so getting a ride from and to work is no problem. Ron and Mike are very friendly and professional on the phone and in person. Mike left my car on the lift so that he could visually point things out to me when I got there to pick it up. The price that I paid to have them look at it was fair. I think that I will be bringing my car to them in the future!

You won't find better folks to take care of your wheels than Ron, Mike and Frank (in the back 40). If you need the work done, they'll tell ya and tell ya if ya don't. Honest, fair, quality workmanship at a decent price is what your car will get and you'll drive safe and satisfied. Nothin real fancy (forget the Danish); Richard's is a clean, well organized workplace with a modest waiting room. They'd prefer to schedule your work ahead of time. If you're headed east on McDowell RD, look for the ugly sign on the south side just before 51st St. Best to turn in at 51st. Once there, look for the tall guy in shorts (Ron) or the guy with the good hair (Mike).

My car overheated in Phoenix, and I went in search of a auto shop, since I was new to the area I began researching shops in my area. I found this shop online, I really liked the look of their website, it was presented in a professional manner that gave me no fear in choosing them. I called and began asking questions each gentleman that I spoke with was very customer service oriented and seemed concerned with getting me back on the road. I took my car in and got it back on the same day, they found that there was a leak. They replaced the parts that needed replaced and test drove it. The service and parts were well worth the price, which was very reasonable. I was very afraid of getting ripped off, but to be honest I think I will only be taking my car here from now on. This shop is a 5 car shop all the way!

Ron and Mike (along with the crew) have taken care of three of my vehicles, over the years and I love these guys. This is the most ethical shop I have ever dealt with and I have been to quite a few, including mechanics doing side jobs. Customer service is top notch. I have never paid for any unecessary work to be done. The charges are fair and the work done is first-rate. When you take your car in bring a dog biscuit for the most important team member at the facility. (smiles) Thank you guys for so many years of excellent care. People from my office strongly recommended Richard's Auto Clinic and I tried. They were right. Ron has been great with excellent customer service. When my husband first tried Richard's, he got a quote from another repair place on Thomas. Their quote was much higher by recommending unnecessary repairs. He said that Ron's explanation about the problem made much sense. Since then, he straight goes to Richard's always. Please continue doing a great/honest job.

Richard's Auto Clinic has been our family auto repair clinic for over 20 years. There is no problem they have not been able to solve. They continue to exercise & demonstrate a passion for their work, treating every repair situation, however simple or complex, as a challenge to their extensive knowledge & experience.. Ron always does a great job. My family has been dealing with Richards Auto Clinic since 2001. He stands behind his work, and always looks for conditions that might need attention in the future to keep the car running trouble-free. This was my mother's Camry. She doesn't drive much any more, but really wants to keep the car maintained to a high degree. We had an oil change and lub...cost the same as if it went to a quicky place, and since Ron knows the car, he gave it an inspection. Found dry rot on the rear tires and suggested replacing. No high pressure tactics...just good advice. Would recommend Richards to anyone with a long-term interest in the vehicle they drive.
