  I had not previously heard of Virginia Auto Service until I purchased the special on Groupon for the two oil changes. I was beyond impressed during my first visit when I was told that I would receive a ride once I dropped my car off and then be picked up when my car was done. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional and helpful. I feel that the standard oil change is of much better quality than I've received from other auto service locations, and the car wash was a nice bonus. I like being able to take my car to a place that specializes in forgein vehicles for a reasonable price. I save a lot of time on the weekends by being able to drop my car off during the day, going to work and picking up the car at the end of the day.

I was given a phone call to approve a battery replacement, which I appreciated. The car was ready at the time agreed upon before the repair began.   Very nice auto care shop. Bernie is especially nice and welcoming. The shuttle service is extremely convenient as well. The work completed was reasonably priced and so far seems to be quality work. I am no mechanic so since it runs great I am happy. Only thing holding back a 5 car rating is notification the work would be completed within the hour. Two hours later it would be another 30 minutes. 40 minutes later it was done. I would happily recommend them to friends and family.

  I was going out of town Friday the 30th and my check engine light had come on the night before, I went to Virginia Auto that am and they checked it, it came on again as I was getting ready to leave town, I called them and to make a long story short, they had me in and out within 45 min and I was still able to get out of town in a timely manner!!   Recently I had an issue with my brakes; I was getting lights on my dash and also a constant warning that I needed coolant. Virginia Auto thoroughly checked out my car, said I needed a new water pump and there was an issue with my ABS. Not only did they research my warranty, advise me that the service needed to be completed by a dealer but they took my vehicle to the dealer, arranged for my loaner car, set me up with a direct contact and then called to follow up not once but twice to make sure I was completely taken care of. I wouldn't have thought twice if they redirected me to a dealer and told me to pick up my car. That alone would have been integrity service. But it was so much more - not only did they take care of my car – they took care of me. Their dedication to service kept my day smooth and without interruption while my vehicle was being serviced. And one more thing needs to be noted here: When I got the call that my car was going to the dealer and the reason, Matt Allen, the owner of Virginia Auto said, “if they try to do anything else to your car - call me first.” Matt provides service based on what is right over what just makes him money. I totally trust these guys and recommend them often! I always head to Virginia Auto when there is any problem with my car or even for regular maintenance. Matt, Tim and the crew at Virginia Auto are the ones I trust. Thanks Matt!!!!!!!!!

  I returned to this shop because 12/07 I had work done including brake repair. There was a noise in the brakes and I had to return 3 times, but finally the problem was resolved.   Virginia Auto Service gave me a great experience. I went in for a free oil change, which is an awesome service they give for referrals, and it was totally free (no catches). The only snag is that I had to leave it there for a few hours while they performed the inspection, and when I dropped it off I had made an appointment, but still had to wait a few minutes for them to take me (no big deal, they expedited my service). They told me what my car needed upon pick up, and no pressure was put on me to get the services that day. A full explanation was given for the services, and what each would do. There were some I truly need now, and some they said I could put off. Their prices were a littl ehigher than other places, but I'd pay more for the customer service. They also have a drop off and ride benefit that I didn't take advantage of.

  We received excellent service after our pickup died on the interstate and had to be towed in. The radiator had to be replaced and we decided to have other necessary work done (like hoses replaced) as well after VAA gave us the quote. We were pleasantly surprised that they did additional work after they discovered other problems once into the repair and then our total final price was within a few dollars of their quote. I would definitely return to this shop for service, and probably will, even though it is located 20 miles from our home.

  These guys have it right. They are dedicated to you and your car. They work hard to make sure that the customer is satisfied and that the work is done well. Virginia Auto Service is not happy with a decent repair job for a decent price... instead, they want to perform the best repair job possible at a good price. These guys know what it means to be an auto repair shop. Also, they are very upfront about what work needs to be done and what can wait. I think this is important, especially in our current economy.   I have been to Virginia Auto Service now 4 times and they never fail to amaze me. I have been very happy with their service. As a female, you are warned and trained to be wary of service shops..no need to here. Even when I have requested an expensive service (not knowing what I really needed), they were kind and honest enough to try and solve the problem through inexpensive means first. Which worked, saving me time and money. I trust them 100% and would recommend them to any and EVERYONE.

The issues that they find are documented and suggested with a quote prior to them beginning work. They don't push or up-sell but they did let me know the brake issue might be very serious safety issue if I didn't have it repaired. I appreciated the honesty and their willingness to use the coupons I brought in as needed! Every $ helps! Even though it had been 18 months since my last visit, they didn't make me feel guilty (I had gone elsewhere in between for a quickie oil change)--they understood and even suggested just a 6 month check up since I don't put many miles on. The ride to and from work was very nice and timely. I will be going back as needed! Thanks Guys!

  I have a trusted auto repair shop which I generally use but they don't perform alignments. I chose Virginia Auto because it was a AAA-approved shop and very close to where I work. The service was excellent, the shop was very clean, the staff was very polite and professional. They did a free AAA inspection and made recommendations - the recommendations were not pressured in any way and gave me the freedom to choose. I appreciate the ride to work and the fact they washed my car! I will use Virginia Auto again for certain services because of the convenient of the location.

Fantastic, thorough, and convenient service with a smile. We followed our service advisor, Burgie, who used to work at another station and are even more pleased with Virginia. Not only was the overall service the best, but they go that extra mile. They offer complimentary shuttle service in the area and they even wash your car (and they are perfectionists). These are professionals you can trust.

I was really please with the service I recieved. Matt was so detailed about making sure I understood everything that was going on with my car. I was clueless about a timing belt, but they educated me. I did call around to get a second and third opinion. I'm glad to know I can depend on Virginia Auto Service.   In the past, I dreaded taking my car into a repair shop because of the uncertainity of what the diagnosis would be even if I only brought it in for an oil change. Virginia Auto has changed that experience for me. VA has helped me keep my 2001 Hyundai Accent running in good shape for a few years now. Tim and Matt carefully explain what my car needs and what my range of options are. They stand behind their work with a good warranty and treat their customers well. I won't take my care anywhere else as long as I have the choice.

  Paid $939.88 for repairs and car still has same issue as when I brought it in. The only bit of information I have is my debit receipt showing the amount I paid. Paid for car on 1/26/09, picked up on 1/27/09 & paperwork regarding work that was done & recommended work to be done was not completed. On 1/27/09 I requested paperwork to be faxed to my office (did not happen). Couple days later, called back & spoke to owner & requested it again and re-verified office fax #... as of 2/5/09, have not received anything. If I "hem-hawed" around with payment, I could kind of understand. But $900 is nothing to kid around with for a car kept in storage. I paid immediately & expected the same courtesy regarding services done. Needless to say, I don't really know what was done to my car, nor amount of time taken to look at it. I will not recommend this garage by any means. Since your transportation driver is awesome, you get 2 cars instead of 1. Sorry guys. Vaughn

Matt was so nice to sit down and explain to us how the alignment worked and what they did to change it so we wouldn't have the problems we had with the first set of tires going bad because they weren't aligned properly for the larger wheels that were put on the car. I had gone to another garage for a repair and was given a list of items that needed to be fixed, I then went to Virginia Auto and showed them the list, they said that approximately half of the items didn't need to be repaired on my car. They then fixed my car and I have been a loyal customer ever since. I am a single woman and they could've easily taken advantage of me since I know nothing about cars, they always treat me with respect and I TOTALLY trust them with my car. I would recommend them to everyone!

  For the past 8 years, I have been an extremely satisfied customer and feel lucky to have this business in my neighborhood. I have successfully referred friends to Virginia Auto. The welcoming staff are extremely professional and they take great care of my car. They call promptly to confer and help me understand and then prioritize required versus optional repairs. The car is always ready on time. They offer free pick up and delivery. What more could I say?

  These guys know their cars and they will know your car well after just one visit. I'm most impressed with the computer system they use to track your car's history. It's a detailed history and they review it before you bring the car in, making sure they are not duplicating services and only doing what's needed. It doesn't matter whether you talk with Burgie, Matt, or Tim---you'll get the same message. They do the work in the time estimate they give you. They are an honest and friendly bunch and they have earned my trust over the past year. If you're looking for economy, take your car somewhere else. But if you're looking for quality service, there's no sense looking elsewhere. All 5 of our family members are taking our cars here now. Highly recommend.

  These guys have looked after my Honda ever since I bought it in 1998. It runs as well now as it ever did (in fact, the transmission runs better). They are always friendly and courteous, make me aware of anything they see on my car that I should know about, and I have come to trust them completely. They constantly strive to improve their service and after a devastating fire a couple of years ago, they bounced back better then ever. I highly recommend them.

  I was very impressed with this shop. I followed a mechanic over to this location after the shop he worked at closed, and he mailed out letters to all of his customers about this shop. I was very happy with the service I received, including speed of service, availability at short notice, as well as customer service. I was also quite impressed with the extra services the shop offered, including a membership card to track all of the work done on my car and allowing me access to tow services at no additional cost to me. I strongly recommend this shop to anyone that needs work done on their car, not matter how far in the valley you have to drive to get there. By the way, the mechanic that I followed over is named Burgie. Very honest guy, and I trust him implicitly. He has even made himself available for simple calls and questions as well as recommendations of shops to go to for work Virginia Auto does not do, such as transmission work.

  Virginia Auto Service is extremely courteous, helpful, organized, and qualified. I love them for 5 reasons: 1) I'm a woman and they are always ready to answer my questions 2) they provide an estimate and don't bully you if you can only afford to take care of say, half your repair list 3) they've given me rides to and from work and have helped me get a rental car and helped paid for it to make it easier on me. 4) they care. 5) I've had no problems with the work they've done.

  Overall happy with the work and service. The only thing was the invoice ended up being about 100 bucks more than quoted. There was a parts availability issue, and I understand that. A phone call would have been nice though. Other than that I was happy.
