  I have been going to NAR for about a year now. I found them by searching for repair shops in Phoenix and was drawn to their commitment for honest, reasonably priced repairs. They haven't let me down yet! I have had a good amount of work done on my car within the last year including regular maintenance and I have never had an issue with anything they have done. Randy is super friendly as well as Tom and the rest of his crew! As long as I live in Phoenix, I will be going to NAR for my auto repairs!

As a woman they make me feel confident and comfortable that my car is fixed and I did not get ripped off! thank you guys for being there. This shop is small and family owned , do not expect the Taj Mahal but you will get Taj Mahal service. Husband - While I travel for work I'm thankful for these guys being there if car repairs are needed, I know that my wife's issues will be handled with no worrying from me or her. Thanks guys

  Had taken in car unscheduled due to wierd hissing/squeaking noise. Had a road trip to San Diego planned for Labor Day holiday, and was leaving in just 3 days. Nat'l Automotive able to quickly diagnose the problem, rear brakes, and was able to handle this, again unscheduled, along with an oil change and maintenance, on my only day off that I could have the car there, in just about 3 hours.   I was having car problems and thought it was my transmission slipping. I went to the Internet on super pages and found National Automotive Repair . I went to their website and listened to the introduction from Randy (the owner). I emailed them and got a response from Lari. Randy called me and I explained what my car was doing. He said it could be a blocked catalytic converter . I took it down and he diagnosed it to be a cooling fan clutch that was out. I had him fix the car. I have to tell you my car runs great !!!!! I have lived all over the Country & gone to dozens of Mechanics & they are by far the BEST I have ever seen. Nobody out there even comes close to Randy, Tom & the entire Team at National. They are honest, professional, and have been a pleasure to deal with always. In an industry where good honest people are so difficult to find, they are a real gem & I value my relationship with them like gold.   I first met Randy at a Business Networking meeting. After I heard all the great stories about Randy and his service I decided to give him a try. At first I only had oil changes and tire rotations, and then I started having other more expensive repairs taken care of. I now use Randy for all of my repairs. However, at times for convenience or coupon price, I may use another repair shop for oil changes and tire rotations and during their inspection they will identify a “problem / issue.” If and when this happens, I take my car to Randy and have him verify and explain the problem, I then have Randy perform the work because I trust his opinion, I trust the quality of work, and his quote is always fair Recently, I was told that the outer CV boots were torn and the dealership would have to do the work. I was skeptical, but I looked and the boots were torn. I called the dealer, and was told, “They could do the work for $1,000 out the door.” I called Randy and we determined NAR had replaced the CV axles within the last year and the work was under warranty. Randy performed the work at no charge. Oh by the way, the original repair from NAR was much less than $1,000. I’m not looking for the absolute lowest price (they have to stay in business,) but what I do want is to trust that the repair is needed and that the price is reasonable. Randy lives up to the NAR promise… “To provide honest, economical auto repair…” I not only take my three cars to NAR, but I have my son take his there too. I recommend you do too.

  The folks at National Automotive Repair are truly the best. Being a lady, I know I've been taken advantage of at the dealerships and other shops. I started saving money and my pride when I was referred to NAR. They treat me with respect and I can trust them that only necessary work is being done on my truck, and at reasonable prices. I will be soon moving to Buckeye, and plan to continue to use NAR because of their superb trustworthy service. I can trust my truck is in the best hands here! Thank you NAR!

  Sick and tired of being taken advantage of by other shops, I decided to give National a shot, based on the many excellent reviews I read online. I was not disappointed! With other shops, when I get the call with an estimate, it’s usually lot of nonsensical tech-talk and a big bottom line. I usually get off the phone and tell my wife what they told me, and she balks at the estimate and explanation. With Randy at National, he not only spoke to be in terms that I could easily understand, when I reported to my wife how much work he was offering to do for a fraction of the price we’re used to being quoted, she immediately approved! As Randy put it, they passed “the wife test”! Yes they did!!! Randy even picked me up at my house to bring me back to the garage! The invoice I received after the work was done explained in detail (and non-jargon) what they did and how much each thing cost. I think I have finally found a mechanic I can trust to do only the work that’s needed, at a fair price, and with reasonable turnaround. Hallelujah!!!

  On 6/21/10 I took my car in for a routine oil change. My car was also making a vibration sound upon acceleration. I was told that my car had uneven tire wear and cupping and that I would need new Struts and shocks and also needed to replace my tires. The same shop had just recently replaced my shocks in Jan 5 mos ago. They replaced the shocks because they were under warranty and then I left the shop to get a second opinion. I asked around at work if anyone new someone and I was told about garagefly.com. That's where I found National Automotive Repair and met the owner Randy. Randy and his crew took care of me and I walked away only needing an alignment. I can't say enough about the honesty and the respect Randy has for his customers! I will definately be going there for now on and recommended National Auto Repair to anyone looking for a quality repair shop with integrity and honesty!

  Randy and Tom ROCK! We have our own business and this vehicle can not be down. Each year it is checked out for the up coming summer by National Automotive Repair. Their business helps me stay in business, they know it and I trust them so my customers can trust me to be there for them. WHY YOU SHOULD NOT GO TO THE DEALERSHIPS: My last visit NAR I needed a windshield along with regular maintenance. NAR did it all in one (1) day, and $500.00 less then the last windshield replaced in this truck by a local Honda Dealership. Also the dealership took 3 days, which was more damaging to our business then the cost of the windshield. Still Randy personal called me to let me know the "high" cost of the windshield so I would have no surprises on the bill. All of our cars go to NAR.

  One night my car was stalling at every stoplight and I called Randy just as he was closing the shop. He waited for me even though I was several miles away. He secured my car on the lot, transferred my groceries to his car and took me home. I was very happy with the repair and the price. This shop is very honest and they don't try to sell repairs that aren't needed. I am extremely satisfied.

  Randy, Tom & Debbie took great care of me and my car from setting up the appointment to giving me a full and honest report of what my car needed. Unfortunately, I had put off some work and it caught up with me. Randy and his staff found some additional problems that you couldn't see until you got involved in taking off some parts. They helped me get transportation by arranging a rental car and kept me updated along the way by the work that needed done. Considering all the work the bill was very reasonable. I saw the parts that were cracked or broken and understood from their explanation what was all involved. I would have no problem to continue to have my car serviced at this facility.

  I always bring all our vehicles to National Automotive for services ranging from oil changes and other schedule maintenance to addressing any unexpected problems or concerns. For this particular incident, I had taken my car in to have a "check engine" light, and some transmission issues evaluated. Randy and his crew evaluated and then made their recommendations, which in this case was to do nothing, since I was planning on selling my car and I would not recoup the cost of repairs in the selling price. The whole thing cost me $0, but provided a great service. It should be noted, I drive over 20 miles one way when I could choose from dozens of automotive shops much closer to home because I trust National Automotive to be honest and do a great job. They have justified that trust time and time again.

  I have been doing business with National Automotive Repair for many years now. Many years ago I owned a VW and it failed emissions. The normal car repair place I went to at the time quoted me $1,500.00 to do the necessary work required to get it to pass. That was worth more than my car at the time. I heard about National Automotive Repair "Randy" and brought it there for a second opinion. Randy told me all I needed was a gas filter. I was doubtful because I expected maybe a lower price but not the price of a fuel filter. I mean that is nothing.... Long story short, he replaced the fuel filter and sure enough my car passed emissions!. I have been bringing my car to National Automotive Repair ever since and that incident and that was many many years ago. I wouldn't let anyone else work on my car.
