  I was very impressed with the quality of work and how quickly they were able to fix my car. I have always used a different repair shop and happen to come across Blackwell's yesterday while my car was having problems and I remembered that someone had told me that they were good. So I stopped in to see if they could help me. They were very friendly and even were able to drive me to work after I dropped my care off.I am so impressed with them that we are taking our our car in on Friday for them to look at. I think I have found myself a new auto shop.

  This is a shop I found easy to put my trust in from the moment I spoke with them on the phone, then continuing when I got to the shop. They were super knowledgeable, willing to explain as much as I needed, answering all questions and leaving all choices to me as what to proceed with in the end. As for the work, my car needed a lot, and as to the repairs, all seems up to snuff. They left me feeling confident, and gave a 10% disc. as a 1st time customer!

  One of the best auto shops i have been to. I was greeted by everyone in the shop and the parts manager stayed and chatted with me while we waited for to customer service guy to help me. They were able to take my car in right away and called me back within an hour telling me what the problem was. They repaired my car in one day and for a great price. As well as advised me of other potential problems i may have. Very clean shop, great people, good customer service, they will get my business again. Highly recommended.

  I had my car towed to Blackwell Auto the other day- they were so fast and accurate in finding out the problem of why my car stalled out in traffic. They called me at work to give me updates on their progress and were so helpful on explaining the problem to me when I arrived to pick up my car. Both, Louie and Tim helped me to understand why and how this problem happend and made me feel very comfortable with their concern over my safety in getting back and driving my car again. I would go back to Blackwell Autommotive in a heartbeat if I have any car problems in the future. I am so glad I found a repair shop I feel I can trust. Thanks!

  My family has had our cars worked on by Mr. Blackwell and his team for over 7 year. Every time we have to have a car worked on Christy, Louie & Matt are great about providing outstanding customer service as far as quotes and updates and follow through. Most recently, we took our Honda in for a regular oil change and the team noticed some important standard maintenance that we had forgotten to take care of earlier. They approached the situation in a very respectful way and made recommendations and discussed all details as options. We never felt pressured and the advice the technicians gave us was accurate and proactive. I really appreciated the fact that when possible the staff does their best to provide transportation to their customers if needed. Blackwell also provides quality referrals to its customers who are looking to buy cars or need auto body work done. And if you happen to have your car at Blackwell and need a cup of coffee or a good meal, Starbuck's and 40th Street Diner are right across the street.

  Blackwell Automotive continues to do an excellent job with my vehicles. I so appreciate their quick and reliable service. My favorite aspect is that they never pressure me to spend money. They recommend repairs and maintenance to me often in a prioritized list, but they are never trying to "close the deal" and rush me to have the work done today. They always leave the ball in my court regarding when to come back in to have the work done. This puts me at ease and fosters a much more trusting business relationship.   Louie and the team at Blackwell did a great job on my car. They fixed some repairs that had been done improperly by another shop and were able to give me good advice on other issues with my car. My only complaint was that the final bill was higher than they originally quoted but when we reviewed the bill they knocked off part of the bill and provided satisfactory answers for the remaining additional charges.

  Blackwell is the best! I had my car towed there thursday night after hours. Posted hours on the door said they opened at 7:30am. I got there about 15 minutes early, they invited me right in. They called me within an hour with the diagnosis, and estimate of repair cost. My car was fixed the same day, and for less than the estimate. The shop was clean, the employees all very polite. They didn't talk down to me as a woman which has happened in other places. All and all, these guys are rock stars and I would never take my car anywhere else.

He looked at my car, let me know what was wrong, and the pricing was more than fair. What could have been a complete nightmare for me turned out not as bad as I feared. I will definitely take my car back to Blackwell Automotive for future repairs. They also have a shuttle service, which brought me home and picked me up. How fantastic is that??!! :)

  I lived in Phoenix from 1986 until 1996. I was fortunate to find Blackwell Automotive who did all of my repair work, as well as repair work on my father-in-law's car. I moved from the Phoenix area in 1996. Recently, I purchased a used vehicle for my granddaughter. I had a "local" repair shop do a 'safety check' and replace worn belts, etc. I then drove the car the 250 miles to Phoenix to deliver it to her. That's when I discovered that there was a problem. After 13 years, my wife and I remembered the fine workmanship and honesty we had always associated with Blackwell Automotive. We contacted them and had the car towed 40 miles to their repair facility. As always, the problem was diagnosed and the repair work was completed in the timely manner we had been accustomed to thirteen years ago. My granddaughter has been instructed to have any and all future repairs done at Blackwell. Thanks Tom, Louie, and staff.

They quickly diagnosed the problem, and discovered it was the relay that was faulty. They were very friendly and took the time explaining the issue. They quickly ordered the product, installed it, and charged a competitive and reasonable price.   I cannot thank Blackwell Automotive enough for their kind service. I had a problem with my car and walked in without an appt. I had to go for preop testing in two hours. It was around lunch time. They got someone in the middle of THEIR lunch to drive my car with me. They diagnosed the problem and had me on my way in about a half hour. I have gone there once before for a brake job. Once again they were honest, promp, and did a great job. I highly recommend Blackwell Automotive.

  My experience with Blackwell Automotive was the best car repair experience I have ever had. the shop is clean, professional, and the staff were friendly and personable . That was just the surface experience. My car, being a 1990 cadillac deville did not pass emissions and in 24 hours my car was repaired, passed emissions and cost less than I was originally quoted. It does not get any better than that! I need some more work done, and from now on Blackwell will be my car repair facility no matter what car I drive!   I was having mechanical problems starting my vehicle and first tried the Hyundai dealership. I paid a diagnostic fee to the dealer, but they could not find the problem. Instead the dealer service center tried to upsell me into a tune-up,spark plugs, power steering hose, power steering flush, and fuel system service at a cost of $1,300.00. After continuing to experience the same issue trying to start my vehicle I called the delership again and was told there was no problem because the computer diagnostic test was fine. After hearing Blackwell Automotive was recommended by the car guys on the radio, I then read some internet reviews and decided to give them a try. Blackwell Automotive professionally diagnosed the problem and fixed my vehicle the next day at a fair price. They do not try to upsell you with unneeded services and there is no pressure from the staff. My service Advisor, Louie, keep me informed along the way and was very professional and friendly. I will definitely chose Blackwell Automotive for my next repair.

  I have been a Blackwell customer for several years, usually regarding my Ford Explorer. Always great work at a fair price. When my Mitsu broke down, I deciced to seek their help before going to the dealership. Not only did the identify the problem, they suggested a repair that saved me $1100 compared to what the Mitsu dealership would have cost. I reason I trust Blackwell is that they don't just take the easy "replace it" approach. They work with you, considering the cost of the repair, the possible work-aarounds and your ability to handle the bill. Being retired, we are on a fixed income and that latter point is very important to my wife and me.

  It makes a lot more sense to have an oil change done at a place where someone knows more about your vehicle than where the drain plug is on the oil pan. This is the third time I've been to Blackwell. The first time they suggested installing an aftermarket part instead of OEM and saved me $500. The second time they inspected a vehicle I was going to buy and told me if I didn't buy that one they would inspect the next one free. How can you go wrong working with people like that?

  We had to have a mechanic come to our home because our car would not start. After trying for quite some time he said that we would have to have the car towed to a repair shop for a diognostic test. He suggested Blackwell Automotive and that is where we had the car brought. They were very helpful and courteous. We got a call after about an hour and they told us that the keys for the car had to be reprogrammed and only a dealer could do it. If we ever need a repair shop again we would definitely go to Blackwell Automotive.

  I have been using Blackwell Automotive for going on fifteen years and have never had the least reason to doubt the quality of service I have gotten. In the above instance I am in the midst of restoring a 1966 mustang that was in need of a significant amount of work on the front suspension and steering. The problems were diagnosed an estimate of the cost for the work put together and notification made the day the car was left with the shop. I was invited to come in to verify the work that was to be done and was provided with an explanation I could understand of why the work was necessary.One of the first things you notice when you enter the shop area is that in spite of all of the work being done (all the bays were busy)the floors sparkled. The service manager and the mechanic working on the car were there to point out the problem(s) and explain what needed to be done to correct them. Tools and equipment are clean and orderly even when in use. The work was performed in anoutstanding manner and I was notified promptly when the car was ready for pick up. I have been impressed with this shop from day one and will continue to take my business ther whenever necessary.

The repairs were costly and I was not able to afford the repairs or buy a new car. The representative through multiple phones calls to me, answered lots of questions, listened to how upsetting and difficult it was for me to deal with this at this time, TOOK the time to talk about different options, how to maintain my car, and reassured me, that I had time to make decisions, buy a new car or just keep the car safely operating until, I could make some decesions. When I picked up the car, they showed me how to check certain fluids and gave me a schedule to do this. No fear tactics were used to get me to repair my car but instead, treated me with compassion trying to understand my situation and helped me get through it. You dont find this very often...thank you so much!

I had the same problems looked at by a local Dodge dealer and they never corrected it but were not shy in charging for nothing. With the unresolved I was told about Blackwell Automotive and they could correct the steering problem and they did. It was not just a good job it was EXCELLENT job and I knew this the second I pulled out of the parking lot the job was done right. The price was more than fair and great people to work with. CLEAN place and HI-TEC and wouldn't give up until they found and corrected the problem. This place is a WINNER in my book THANKS Dennis

Our Jeep Cherokee had been heating up for a couple years and had been in the shop numerous times and still had the same problems.   Noticing the engine light on, we stopped in to see about repair needs. Before doing anything to our car, the GM, Kristy Singer, checked our fuel cap to see if it may have worked loose. This could have caused a misread by the computer indicating a vapor leak. She suggested that we drive the car and stop and start, giving the computer time to reset, just in case that was the problem. How cool is that! Free advise! To make a long story short, we did return about an hour later, no change in engine light status. We left it for diagnostic testing and requested oil/lube work. She called us back within an hour, stating a sensor was bad, and that they checked the battery also (which we had never replaced) and found it was extremely low, and replacment was recommended (total cost of repairs provided). We gave our go ahead with approximate pickup of 6:00 p.m. At 3:45 p.m. we were notified that the work was completed and our vehicle was ready for pickup. We were extremely pleased with the quality of work, the estimate of repair time and the estimate of costs. No surprises, no hassle, a genuinely pleasant experience. . . and ahead of time too!

Description of repairs needed was easy to understand. Quotes given were accurate. There were no surprises. No pressure to do repairs that were reccommended but not needed at this time. Exterior and interior of car were cleaner than when I took it to the shop. Interior of repair bays and office area were very clean. Would highly recommend.

Also when I go for maintenance they do not try to add on extra work but they do take the time to explain if there is additional work they feel I need.   I moved to the Phoenix area in 1989 and Blackwell Automotive was recommended to me by a number of co-workers. From my very first visit through today, I have always had my cars worked on by Tom and his team. I even had my car towed one time all the way from Casa Grande, just so Blackwell could do the repair !!! They do great work at a fair price and are the most trustworthy car repair shop I have ever experienced. The minute I walked into Blackwell's I noticed they were working on a'71 Mach 1, a '69 Camaro, and they had a GTO Judge waiting in the wings. I thought if people trust that kind of automotive machinery to Blackwell's, they're good enough for me. Since then, I had them drop a new engine in my one of a kind(in the U.S.)Nissan Hustler Pick Up Truck. I also bring my Grand Prix GTP to Blackwells.   I have taken a number of my vehicle's to Blackwell. Their prices might not be the lowest in town but they are not the highest and I have never had any issues with the work they have done. They do quality, professional by the book work. They have inspected 2 vehicles for me when I was looking to purchase, and their expertise and advice on both the condition of the car and its worth gave me bargaining chips. I have no apprehension on taking my vehicles to them and either do several other members of my family.

  I took my Jeep in for an oil change and a shimmy in the front end. I mentioned I thought the shimmy might be caused by the tires needing to be balanced, but that I'd had that done in the past and it hadn't fully corrected the problem. First off, they actually test drove the vehicle. I can't remember the last time a mechanic actually did that. Second, they researched the service bulletins from Jeep and found a documented issue. They called an hour or so after I dropped it off to let me know the status and give me an estimate. They called a couple hours later to say that they'd made the repair, about 90% of the shimmy had been resolved and they could balance the tires to get rid of the rest of it. So they test drove the vehicle before and after and they actually researched the problem instead of guessing. Nice people, fair price, thorough job and I had my Jeep back in about 4 hours. You can't ask for any better than that. I'll definitely use them again.

Even after taking my cars to the nissan dealer shop and spending almost 500.00 on the first nissan & still not being able to pass smog test. He took his time explaining everything I needed to know in a very courteous and professional manner. Not once did I ever feel like he was trying to rush to get off the phone. After a few phone calls with different repair shops, there was no comparison...Blackwell Auto had my business. I picked up my vehicle a few days later. I can tell you that my truck is now running better than ever! And, they even washed it for me! I highly recommend Blackwell Auto.

He told me exactly what they were going to do to find the problem and gave me a price for the service. Within a few hours he called me back with the quote and explained to me what happenned. I received a quote and itemized explanation of the charges. When I picked up my car the invoice of charges was less than what I expected by about $60 dollars. This I had not expected because my previous experience with other shops was usually a little higher bill than quoted. I have to say that I was very happy with the service and the manner in which it was handled. I dont have time to be jerked around and I am very busy and it was nice to finally get treated professionally and now my car runs GREAT ! Thank You !

  I finally found a mechanic shop that I can trust. The staff was very polite, professional, and actually explained EVERYTHING to me. They gave me a fair price. It was very easy for me to do business with them to; they said just drop my car off whenever was best for me, and they called me shortly after I dropped it off and explained the problem, and everything was done in a timely manner. Being female and needing car repairs doesn't mix well together, and this is a shop that I don't feel I'm being taken advantage of. I'm going there for ALL of my vehicles from this day forward.   For the past 30 years I have bought used cars and maintaned them impeccably because I would rather spend the money in maintenance than in fixing major problems. It's tough to find a shop that can afford to invest in the people and equipement. They have the expertise of a dealership with character to boot. It's hard to find a shop like them. I wouldn't take the time to write this with my time worth $100/hr if I didn't know it to be true. They'll shoot strait with you and they have enough mechanics on staff to properly assess the problems then fix it in a couple of days. Have anybody call me if they want to 480-588-8270.

  I have been using Blackwell for almost 6 years now and have always had a great experience with them. They are knowledgeable, courteous, and honest. They provide accurate estimates up front, tell you if you do not need to have a repair done and the car is ready when they committed to having it ready. In all the times I have had work done there I have never had an issue with the repair job unlike my experience with the dealerships. I would highly recommend them for anyone wanting good work at a fair price.
